If you get the following message : “You need to install the perl-doc package to use this program.”, install the official Perl documentation.
Debian provides two packages : perl-doc and perl-doc-html
To install them :
root@localhost:~#apt-get install perl-doc perl-doc-html
Then, the command perldoc will be available in your environment variable $PATH.
